Does contamination to your product exist in a clean room
environment? Does a static problem still exist with your current
filtering system? Do you have problems removing contaminants
from plastic? If you answered yes to any of these questions you
could have a static electricity problem. Because electrostatic
attraction can create contamination problems when processing
non-conductive materials such as plastic, synthetic textiles and
photo negatives, it can play a larger role than most people
recognize in hurting a company's productivity.

The solution to these problems is a simple, effective tool: a
Model 224CL Static Locator Meter. The Model 224CL Static
Locator Meter is a portable, non-contacting static meter that MODEL PRICE
produces consistently accurate readings and will provide years of 224CL $558.00
        trouble free use.

        How to use the meter.

        1) With the switch on, point the probe about 90° away from the
charged surface (see drawing, position A).
        2) Press the button and swing the instrument to face the charged
surface at a distance (D) of 5" (see drawing, position B).
        3) If the meter is off scale, repeat steps 1 and 2 changing the
           distance to 10".
        4) If the meter reading is on scale but low, repeat steps 1 and 2
           using a distance of 3", 2" or 1".
        5) Full scale calibration in kilovolts is numerically equal to distance
           (D) in inches, so 1" Full Scale = 1KV, 5" Full Scale = 5KV, etc.
        6) Because of possible error in estimating distance, you may wish
to take several readings and average the results.

        CAUTION:
DO NOT USE THIS INSTRUMENT IN THE PRESENCE OF ANY IONIZERS. TURN OFF IONIZERS WHEN TAKING READINGS.
DO NOT CONTACT STATIC-LADEN MATERIAL WITH THE 224CL METER, AS IT MAY DAMAGE THE INSTRUMENT.
