General Description
The 3-Pole Solid State Relay is designed to switch line voltages of up to
530V rms directly to loads such as motors, transformers, and heating
elements. The use of power semiconductor technology ensures precise,
clean make and break operation. Standard units incorporate circuitry which
ensures switch-on at close to the zero cross-over point of load voltage
thus virtually eliminating the generation of RFI and electrical noise. For
switching of highly inductive loads, a Random Turn-On option is available.
Power semiconductors generate heat energy during operation and a
suitable heatsink must be used to keep the unit within its temperature
ratings. The high current surge characteristics allow trouble-free switching
of capacitive loads.
